Russ Granich, Physician
Dr Russ Granich is recently transplanted from California to Connecticut to take the position of Medical Director for Palliative Care at Hartford HealthCare Central Region in 2021. He joined our group in August 2023. Previously he was Chief Medical Officer for Hospice of the East Bay (CA). He retired from Kaiser Permanente in 2018 where he served as the Chief of Geriatrics, Community Based Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Care at South SF Medical Center as well as Physician Lead for Nursing Homes, Home Health and Eldercare for all of Northern California KP. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Hospice & Palliative Medicine. He was president of the San Mateo County Medical Association. His accolades include a resolution in the California State Legislature for exemplary leadership and a leadership award from the Coalition for Compassionate Care of California. He is a veteran, having served during Desert Storm where he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal.
